Fired Up! - Episode 24

In this episode, The Fire Brigade started with the big golf match between team Dechambeau/Rodgers vs. team Mickelson/Brady.

We then turned back towards the ice and kept the conversation going about the final two teams playing for Lord Stanley's Cup.  We also talked a little about the NHL's new expansion team, the Seattle Kraken, and their recent new head coaching hire.

Next, the guys continued with their discussion about the NBA playoffs.  The fellas give you their take on the Eastern & Western Conference Finals matchups, players, and the final two teams playing for the Larry O'Brien trophy.  The guys also talked about some recent new head coaching hires for the Dallas Mavericks, the Portland Trailblazers, the Boston Celtics, and the Indiana Pacers. 

The Fire Brigade gave their insight on our weekly segment called "Blazing Bets of the Week" where each of the guys picked one sporting event and gave their sports betting analysis on who you should put your money on.  This week we had an over/under bet on the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating contest, 1 game from the NBA, and 2 games from the MLB.

The show wrapped up with a little history and fun about the annual 4th of July Nathan's Hot Dog Eating competition.

We then turned back towards the ice and kept the conversation going about the final 4 teams left in the NHL playoffs and who we think will be battling it out in the Stanley Cup Finals.

Then, the guys go back to the baseball diamond to discuss a topic that was brought up in Episode 14 of our podcast.  We talked about the teams & players that are hot right now and the teams & players that are not so hot in the MLB.

Fired Up! - Episode 22

In this episode, The Fire Brigade started with our highlights from the NASCAR All-Star race as well as our thoughts on the new race format for this event.

Next, the guys continued with their discussion about the NBA playoffs.  The fellas give you their take on some teams and players to watch as the second-round matchups are heating up.  We also chimed in about some other NBA news with the New Orleans Pelicans & Washington Wizards both letting their head coaches go today.

We then turned back towards the ice and kept the conversation going about the final 4 teams left in the NHL playoffs.  Also, we added to the hockey discussion by talking about the recent hire for the Columbus Blue Jackets, Brad Larsen.

Then, the guys go back to the golf course to talk about the US Open this weekend at the iconic Torrey Pines golf course in San Diego.

Then, the guys go back to the golf course to discuss the upcoming Memorial Golf Tournament happening right here in Dublin, Ohio.  The gang gives you insight into the course and a few golfers to watch during the tournament action.

We then turned towards the ice and talked about the big news in Columbus with former head coach John Tortorella and the Columbus Blue Jackets choosing to part ways after the season was over.

In this episode, The Fire Brigade continues their discussion about this year's upcoming NFL Draft class and who the Detroit Lions, Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos, and Dallas Cowboys are taking with picks 7, 8, 9, and 10.  More news in the NFL surrounding the recent trade between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens.

Next, the guys explained the NBA Play-In Tournament that is returning this year and how the NBA tweaked it from last year's format.

We then returned to the octagon and gave you some highlights from UFC 261.

Afterward, the crew talked about the "Run for the Roses" this weekend at Churchill Downs.  That's right the 147th running of the Kentucky Derby is on May 1st.

First, The Fire Brigade gave their review of The Master's golf tournament and how some of the top names in golf struggled the entire tournament.

Next, the guys talked about this year's upcoming NFL Draft class and who the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Jets, and San Francisco 49ers are taking with picks 1, 2, and 3.

We then transitioned to giving our thoughts on which players & teams are hot right now in baseball and which players & teams are not so far to start the MLB season.

The show then started their discussion about an earlier topic that was discussed in an earlier episode in the NHL (Fired Up! - Episode 7).  The guys reviewed their picks for the team to win the Stanley Cup this year, the player to win the MVP, the most surprising team, and last but not least the most disappointing team.
